01About this work

An introduction

I provide psychotherapy services in person at the Solid Ground Psychotherapy office and virtually throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. I work with clients across the lifespan and have particular experience supporting adolescents, college students, young professionals, and adults navigating periods of transition and growth.

My approach is psychodynamic and relational, grounded in the belief that healing takes place in the context of relationships and that lasting change emerges through understanding the deeper patterns that shape our thoughts, feelings, self-worth, and connection with others.

Therapy with me is collaborative and engaging. Together, we clarify what matters most to you, understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop new ways of responding with greater confidence and flexibility. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more connected, and better equipped to build a meaningful and sustainable future.

Graduate student mental health
Career exploration
Career pressure and burnout

03Working together

What working together is like

Sessions are conversational and engaging. I always aim to listen closely, ask you questions, and think out loud with you, holding a space that is warm, thoughtful, and free of judgment.

Early on, the work is orientation: what brings you now, what has helped before, and what you want to be different. Over time, the focus deepens toward the patterns underneath, as understanding these can lead to meaningful and sustainable change.

04Approach

A psychodynamic and relational approach

As a psychodynamic, relational therapist, I believe that healing takes place in the context of relationships. Lasting change emerges through understanding the deeper patterns that shape thoughts, feelings, self-worth, and connection with others.

05Fit

Who this may be a fit for

People who want more than symptom management: students under pressure to perform and find out who they want to be, young professionals meeting the demands of early careers, and adults in the middle of transitions that have unsettled old ways of coping. If you are unsure, a complimentary 15-minute consultation is a good way to find out.
