Introduction
This website (the "Site") is independently owned and operated by Miriam Merin, LCSW ("I," "me," or "my"). I created it to provide general information about my professional background, therapeutic approach, and areas of practice.
This Site does not itself provide psychotherapy services or facilitate consultations, appointments, scheduling, payments, or other practice-related activities. Those services and communications are provided or coordinated separately through Solid Ground Psychotherapy, PLLC ("Solid Ground Psychotherapy"), where I practice as a psychotherapist.
Solid Ground Psychotherapy does not own, operate, or control this Site.
This Privacy Policy explains the limited information that may be processed when you visit the Site. It does not govern information provided directly to Solid Ground Psychotherapy or information created or maintained in connection with a consultation, appointment, or psychotherapy services.
By using the Site, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
Information You Do Not Submit Through This Site
This Site is informational. It is not designed to collect clinical or health information, create client accounts, process payments, schedule appointments, or accept intake submissions for psychotherapy services.
Visiting the Site or contacting me through an email link displayed on it does not establish a therapist-client relationship.
Information We Collect
Information you choose to provide
If you contact me using an email address displayed on the Site, you may choose to share information such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message. Selecting an email link typically opens your own email application. That message is not submitted through a form hosted on this Site for clinical care.
Please do not include sensitive personal, medical, or mental-health information in an initial email. Email is intended for general inquiries and is not monitored for urgent or emergency communications.
If the email address displayed belongs to Solid Ground Psychotherapy, your message is a communication with Solid Ground Psychotherapy and is handled under its own legal and professional obligations. Those communications are outside the scope of this Privacy Policy.

Like most websites, limited technical information may be processed automatically when you visit the Site. This may include IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages visited, referring URL, date and time of access, and similar technical data.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies as described in the Cookies section below and in our Cookie Policy.

Limited information associated with visits to or inquiries about this Site may be used to:
- Operate, deliver, secure, and improve the Site
- Respond to general inquiries about the Site
- Understand general website traffic and performance
- Protect against misuse, fraud, or security threats
- Comply with legal obligations
I do not sell your personal information. I do not use Site visitor information for targeted advertising.
I do not use technical website information to identify visitors as prospective or current psychotherapy clients or to make clinical decisions about any person.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
I may share limited website-related information in the following circumstances:
Service providers – With third parties who help operate the Site (for example, hosting, security, analytics, or related technical services). These providers are expected to protect information and use it only for the purposes for which it is provided.
Legal and safety – When required by law, court order, or legal process, or when disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or security, investigate fraud or abuse, or respond to a valid government request.
Business transfers – In connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
With your consent – For other purposes when you authorize or direct a particular disclosure.
Because some technical information may be processed by infrastructure or service providers according to their own policies, I may not have access to or control over all information they collect or retain.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site or its service providers may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary to operate, deliver, and secure the Site. Depending on how the Site is configured and on your consent choices, analytics or similar tools may also be used to understand general traffic and performance.

This Site also provides a cookie-consent control and honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) where applicable. For more detail, see our Cookie Policy.
Data Retention
I retain website information within my control only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Service providers may retain technical or security information according to their own retention policies.
This section does not apply to records maintained by Solid Ground Psychotherapy in connection with inquiries, consultations, appointments, or psychotherapy services.
Your Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as requesting access, correction, deletion, or opting out of certain uses.
Because this Site does not ask visitors to create accounts or routinely provide identifying information, it may not be possible to associate technical website data with a particular individual.
