Getting started
Beginning therapy should not feel like a maze. Here is exactly how to inquire, and what happens after you do.
01Step
Send a general inquiry
Email Solid Ground Psychotherapy, PLLC, to ask about appointments, availability, or a complimentary 15-minute consultation. A few sentences are plenty.
02Step
Keep it general
Helpful things to include: that you are interested in working with me, your general availability during the week, and whether you prefer meeting in person or virtually. Please do not include sensitive or confidential clinical information in your first message.
03Step
Solid Ground follows up
Appointments, consultations, scheduling, and fee questions are coordinated through Solid Ground Psychotherapy, PLLC. Their team will respond with availability and next steps, including arranging a consultation if you would like one.
04Step
A first conversation
A complimentary 15-minute consultation is a low-pressure way to hear how I work, ask questions, and get a sense of fit before committing to anything.
A note on email privacy
Please do not use email to send sensitive or confidential clinical information. Email is for general inquiries about appointments and availability, and it is not monitored for urgent or emergency communications.
FAQ
Before you write
How do I know if we will be a good fit?
Fit matters in therapy. The simplest way to explore it is to ask about a complimentary 15-minute consultation through Solid Ground Psychotherapy, PLLC. A brief conversation can give you a feel for how I work and whether it seems like the right match for what you are looking for.
Do you meet in person or virtually?
Both. I see clients in person at the Solid Ground Psychotherapy office in Arlington, Virginia, and virtually with clients located anywhere in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Who do you work with?
I work with clients across the lifespan, with particular experience supporting adolescents, college students, graduate students, young professionals, and adults navigating periods of transition and growth.
