Adults & transitions

Therapy for adults navigating change

Periods of transition and growth, whether chosen or unchosen, tend to surface the questions we have been too busy to ask.

01Adults & transitions

When life shifts

A new role or a lost one, a relationship beginning or ending, a move, a diagnosis, a milestone birthday: transitions unsettle the ground we stand on. Old ways of coping may stop working, and feelings that were manageable can become insistent.

I work with adults across the lifespan who are navigating exactly these periods, with a particular interest in the relationship between who you have been and who you are becoming.

What we work on

Frequent themes include relationship difficulties, self-worth and identity, career pressure and burnout, anxiety, depression, and the long shadow of earlier experiences. The work is psychodynamic and relational: we look for the deeper patterns beneath the immediate situation, because that is where durable change comes from.
