Accessibility Statement
Effective date: 2026
Miriam Merin, LCSW is committed to making https://miriamlcsw.com accessible to people with disabilities and usable by as many visitors as reasonably possible. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and feedback is welcome.
This statement describes only this independently operated website. It does not describe Solid Ground Psychotherapy, PLLC's website, email systems, or psychotherapy services. Appointments, consultations, availability, scheduling, and fees are coordinated separately through Solid Ground Psychotherapy, PLLC.
Accessibility goal
This website is designed with the goal of conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That is a target we build and test against, not a certification that every page or feature is free from accessibility barriers.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML structure, with landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer) on every page.
- A skip-to-content link on every page so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation.
- Keyboard operation of interactive controls, with a visible focus indicator.
- Color and contrast choices that aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA minimums for text and non-text UI elements.
- Meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology when appropriate.
- Descriptive link text and support for text enlargement, zoom, and reflow.
How we check this
Pages on this site are reviewed with a combination of automated accessibility testing and manual review during development. Automated tools catch many issues but not all of them - for example, whether alternative text truly describes an image, or whether an interaction makes sense when navigating by screen reader. A clean automated scan is a floor, not a guarantee of a barrier-free experience for every visitor.
This website has not been certified through an independent third-party accessibility audit unless expressly stated otherwise.
Third-party links and services
This website may include an email link that opens your own email application and links to websites or resources operated by other organizations. I do not control the accessibility of third-party email applications, websites, or services.
If an external resource is inaccessible, please use the Contact page. When reasonably possible, the relevant website information can be provided in another accessible format.
Known limitations
I am not currently aware of any specific unresolved accessibility barrier on this website beyond the third-party limitations noted above. If you find one, please let me know.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses a cookie-consent dialog and honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal automatically. Read our Cookie Policy to review or change your choice at any time.

If possible, include the page where you encountered the problem, a brief description of the difficulty, and the browser or device you were using. You do not need to provide medical, diagnostic, or other sensitive personal information when reporting an accessibility problem.
I aim to acknowledge accessibility-related messages within 5 business days and will make reasonable efforts to address the issue or provide the relevant website information in another accessible format.
